Breathless Playa del Carmen

The 802 guestrooms at Breathless, Playa del Carmen shun extraneous details, opting instead for clean and sleek design, reminiscent of the cenote underwater caves in the region.

Lights are built into the ceilings and into the custom wire brushed oak woodwork. Black out shades tilt to follow the flow of the floor to ceiling , sound attenutated, triple-glazed windows. La piece of resistance is a striking resine stalagmite that drops dramatically from the ceiling to encapsulate a luxurious rain shower and redefines the relationship between the bathroom and the living area.

These guestrooms are a an invitation to explore the sensnes and provide a sensual yet playful experience for those who leave prejudice back home.

The project included interior design services for nine restaurants, public areas and a night club.

This project was design in collaboration with DCM Architecture & Engineering.
